CHRISTMAS!

Christmas is a wonderful time of year. Most of the people are happier and kinder than usual, out shopping and spending money!  However, some people are like Scrooge or the Grinch and are grumpy.

We decorate the house, mostly inside, but we put some lights outside, too. We always decorate together. Sometimes we make popcorn while we decorate the tree. Our cat likes to sleep in the Nativity Scene. 

It is a tradition in my house to bake special cookies with my mom and brother. We also make some candies and chocolates. 

We have a big dinner on Christmas Eve and open presents later in the evening. Then we play board games and eat sweets.  We always go to bed around midnight. In the morning we check our stockings to see what Santa brought.

We go to my grandparents' house on Christmas Day and have a big lunch with all my relatives. We have lots of fun, singing Christmas carols, playing games and eating all day! If it snows, we go outside to build a snowman and throw snowballs. When we go back inside there is always hot chocolate and more cookies.  In the evening we watch old Christmas movies and go to bed very late.  

We have a great time and it continues. I am happy to have so many days to enjoy good food and family, without thinking about school!
